Fitzrovia Hospital is a new hospital located at Fitzroy Square. It is an acute independent hospital with full diagnostic facilities, operating theatres, and clinical trials unit.

The hospital includes an auditorium/ lecture room,10 inpatient private rooms, 4 bedded recovery unit, 2 fully equipped theatres and treatment rooms.

The Hospital is approved for overnight stay, general anaesthesia, including TIVA, and intravenous sedation, endoscopy, and laser treatment.

A variety of surgical procedures are performed, including orthopaedics, cosmetic surgery, ophthalmic, gynaecology, urology, and endoscopies (various).

We are currently recruiting key positions such as a **Recovery Practitioner **to our Theatre team and support the goal the company to create an environment that delivers world-class clinical care
- Ensure preoperative checks are made on accepting the patient into the department and prior to the administration of any anesthetic or surgical procedure.
- Ensuring that policies and procedures are adhered to in relation to safeguards against wrong operations and correct procedures are followed in the checking of swabs, instruments, needles etc, and reporting any such discrepancy to the Anaesthetist / Surgeon / Theatre Manager or senior member of theatre staff on duty.
- To ensure that correct aseptic techniques are used at all times.
- To administer medicines in accordance with NMC guidelines, policies and procedures.
- To deliver high quality patient care which is clinically effective, evidence based and appropriate.
- Clean and restore equipment and work areas.

**Required Education, Skills and Qualifications**

Registered Nurse / Operating Department Practitioner

Evidence of Continuous Professional Development relevant to specific areas of practice
