The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery is a major international centre for neuroscience training and research and is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Senior Recovery Practitioner - Band 6 to work in Recovery Unit. We are seeking a person with good communication and organisational skills, willing to develop their knowledge and skills within Neurosurgery specialty and whose attitude to changing environments is positive and supportive.

- Registered Nurse level 1, 2, or 12
- Registered ODP with Dip HE, NVQ3, C& G 752
- Teaching & Assessment Level 3, ENB Cert. ed., other relevant qualification or equivalent experience
- Recognised Post Registration course in Theatre/ Recovery/ other relevant accredited relevant clinical experience within a theatre or Surgery environment
- RGNs Relevant clinical experience at Band 5, or recent qualification in peri operative practice
- ODPs Relevant clinical experience post qualification
- Demonstrate evidence of professional development for self and others
- Demonstrate understanding of audit, research and evidence based practice
- Ability to manage a delegated area in the absence of the person in charge
- Demonstrate commitment to act as facilitator/preceptor
- Able to communicate effectively verbally & written
- Able to articulate reasons for desire to work in this clinical area.

- Demonstrates understanding of budgetary management
