**About the Role**:
To fill our Head of People vacancy, we're looking for someone who is passionate about all things “People”. As Head of People at Playground Games, you will be based in our Leamington studios and will be an integral part of the leadership team.

Reporting to the Studio Head you will have hands on operational responsibility within a business that continues to grow rapidly. While supporting with shaping the People Agenda and its delivery, you will be involved across a broad range of projects and programmes including talent management & development, succession planning & performance, policy, performance management, people success, reward programs, process improvements, leadership development and coaching. You will develop and deliver people management strategies that support the overall strategic aims and objectives of the company, measuring success and adapting as necessary. You will also lead on ER processes through transparent practices and relevant law while acting as a trusted advisor to the Senior Leadership Team and line managers. You will also ensure collaboration between HR and HR Specialist teams such as Recruitment, Diversity & Inclusion, and People Analytics.

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Contribute at a strategic and operational level to identify people priorities and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Use evidence-based data to inform people strategy and recommend innovative methods that drive improvement in HR policy and team development.
- Advise on compliance and risk management issues.
- Be responsible for driving cultural change, promoting continuous improvement at all levels, encouraging observation, feedback and coaching, whilst being considerate of diversity issues, acting in an inclusive way and valuing people’s strengths.
- Partner with Studio Operations, Recruitment and D&I teams on people focused initiatives to promote an engaging employee experience throughout the full employee lifecycle.
- Support the Diversity & Inclusion Manager to actively drive D&I initiatives and consider diversity and inclusion policies across all HR practices.
- Maintain awareness of changing business needs, growth and HR and industry trends.
- Drive the delivery of our priority people projects and work to continually embed and improve Playground Games’ performance management and people success.
- Be a hands-on People Partner, with a focus on leadership, supporting, coaching and guiding them on all People related matters, advising and proactively anticipating their People needs. This includes holding regular 1:1s and bringing useful people data to the table to inform/drive action.
- Manage and maintain compliance with all employment law regulations and practices.
- Lead and own the end-to-end resolution of complex employee relations issues, including settlement agreements.
- Proactively analyse ER data to identify recurring trends and themes and derive insights that help shape relevant programmes and interventions.
- Be a beacon of enablement for your team - as a direct manager of the HR team, you will be expected to actively coach and develop the team in their professional toolkit, best practices and business acumen to achieve their full potential and nurture constant professional growth.
- Collaborate with the wider teams to design, develop and drive talent management strategies and structure.
- Design and deliver key training for first-time, as well as experienced, managers, covering areas such as goal setting, mentoring, performance measurement and having difficult conversations.

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- Substantial experience in HR, including experience in a leadership role.
- Level 7 CIPD qualified (Playground Games will consider Level 5 with relevant experience as an alternative).
- Experience from Games, Entertainment, Digital or Technology companies preferrable.
- Proactive in driving the People Agenda forward with positive strategic thinking.
- Knowledge of employment law.
- Experience of thriving in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to work with ambiguity, and a strong understanding of drivers surrounding people decisions and business priorities.
- You will need to be able to access Leamington Spa in Warwickshire, however, Playground Games operate a Hybrid Working system, meaning you will only be required to be in the office for a minimum of 3 days per week.
