Do you come from a Mechanical or Chemical Engineering background where you have been involved at a Senior or Leadership level in delivering designs for large-scale process plant projects such as for Oil & Gas, Wastewater or Petrochemical plants?

This company specialises in the production of biogas through the process of anaerobic digestion at a large number of sites across Scotland and have been continuously expanding throughout recent years. They have 2 major sites currently under construction alongthe A96 corridor as well as others due to begin construction early this year, as well as plans to expand southwards into England.
In this role you will be working closely alongside the Project Engineering Leader to oversee, manage and deliver the Design function within the department for major Mechanical and Chemical Engineering projects taking across a number of the company's sites,while also looking after a number of direct reports including CAD Engineers and Graduates.

The role:

- Responsibility for Design function within Project Engineering team
- Ensuring designs are to BANTEC standards across all projects
- Carrying out HAZOP and Process Safety assessments for projects
- Ensuring targets and resource plans are implemented for Design team
- Compiling and issuing Design Packages to Project Engineers
- Supporting with training and development plans for direct reports
- Reviewing resource plans with Engineering Leader to execute projects
The person:

- Educated to Degree level in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
- High level of competency with Design and Project Management software e.g AutoCAD, BIM etc.
- Previous experience in leadership/management within a Project or Design Engineering team
- Previous hands-on experience carrying out Design work for Process or other industrial-scale plants
- Strong appreciation for H&S and Design Compliance.
