Communications Support Officer

Our client from **Durham Peterlee** is looking for a **Communications Support Officer**, who has a **UK Driving Licence**. Some **flexibility to travel to other sites**.
**Pay: £13-£15**
**Contract: 3 months Temporary contract**
**Days: 09:00-17:00**
**Site: Greenhouse Peterlee**
**Job Summary**:
This is an exciting opportunity to join the regional Path5 LIMS project Implementation team.
The Communications Support Officer (LIMS) will act independently in supporting the delivery of the communications and engagement strategy for the LIMS Programme as directed by the PMO manager (LIMS).
**Main Duties And Responsibilities**:
- Attend meetings with or on behalf of the LIMS PMO central team to advise leaders, managers, and teams to the best use of various media disciplines and approaches within a fast-paced, high tech, health care environment
- Act as a reference point for Communication queries and information and an advocate for best practices in the media field
- Maintain processes to ensure project management documentation, reports and plans are relevant, accurate and complete
- Complete data collation to track and report on performance, providing a real-time, comprehensive, and prioritized view of all activities
- Regularly required to collect data from multiple sources, assimilate and analyse it to provide statistical reports to the LIMS PMO central team using appropriate formulae
- Analysis of data with regard to multiple projects to highlight areas of concern which require escalation within the programme.
- Develop positive relationships with managers and staff across the Path 5 trusts to enable the Central Team to provide support including facilitation, tracking and reporting on projects, and training
- Maintain the programme plan using Microsoft Project and supporting software tools
- Highlight areas of concern to the programme regarding slippage and tolerance within the programme plan
- Interpret the Communications Strategy, plan and co-ordinate communications schedule, and ensure appropriate resources are available as required
- Attend meetings to plan and schedule new projects, with key stakeholders, against programme delivery requirements
- Establish the stakeholder management plan and coordinate implementation of the communication framework
- Building relationships with key stakeholders to facilitate sharing of lessons learned and best practices across programmes, both internally and externally
- Ensuring the appropriate SOPs and Policies and Procedures are adhered to.
- Appropriate stakeholders in the delivery of effective engagement and communications
- Any other duties as required by the post holder’s line manager.

**Qualifications & Training-**
**Essential=**
- Educated to degree level or equivalent
- Foundation level qualifications in industry standards, including PRINCE2 and MSP
**Special Skills & Knowledge-**
**Essential=**
- Good knowledge of Media and Communications techniques and principles
- Good knowledge of Project and Programme management standards
- Understanding of project delivery and acceptance processes within a fast-paced business environment
- Capability for problem solving, decision making, sound judgment, assertiveness
- Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as excellent presentation skills with ability to conduct presentations comfortably to large groups
- Strong relationship building and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of effective RAID management
- Experienced user of MS Project and MS Office toolset (Word, Excel, Publisher and PowerPoint)
- A can do attitude and willingness to go the extra mile when required
**Desirable=**
- Familiarity with the NHS Plan, Health Informatics Strategy and the Emerging National Requirements for Health Informatics
- Familiarity with CDDFT Health Informatics Strategy
- Knowledge of NHS Commissioning Knowledge of Community and Acute care settings
- Knowledge of the data flows between NHS organisations

- Proven experience in providing support to internal stakeholders to achieve successful project outcomes

- Experience of working within the NHS
- Experience of working within a Programme environment within a Health Care setting

- **Able to travel independently across Trust sites to meet the requirements of the Post**
