As a Sample Machinist you will work as part of a team to produce Fit samples and Development Samples for our some of our 13 brands.

**Our Manufacturing team**

In Manufacturing, we’re showcasing how it’s possible to create sustainable and ethical garments at the right price point here in the UK. We’re cutting, sewing and packing experts with our own manufacturing centre of excellence site in Leicester. We make sure that each brand’s raw materials become a finished and packed garment that our customers can wear and love.

**What you’ll be doing**:

- Liaising with the Pattern Cutters to produce Fit Samples/Development Samples
- Solving technical problems and garment amendments where needed
- Interpreting from tech pack, pattern or sketch
- Liaise with costing team and calculate all costings in relation to production time (SM)
- Sample cutting and final pressing
- Following fabric, colour and size instructions
- Understand and produce high quality samples
- Provide advice in regards to the best way to construct garments for bulk production
- Reading drawings and specs and communicating feedback
- Returning samples for final approval before manufacturing begins
- Ability to work quickly and accurately and achieving given targets

- Previous experience within a similar role working for a ladieswear supplier
- Previous experience of working with woven fabrics is desirable
- Strong machine and hand stitching skills
- Excellent quality of work along with speed and efficiency
- Good practical skills, knowledge of production methods with an eye for detail
- Good understanding of patterns in order to be able to read how garments are constructed
