The Atelier at Rapha is where we use specialist skills to create patterns and samples for all our ranges. We are looking for a Sample Machinist and Pattern Cutter to join the team for up-to 12 months on a FTC. Within the Atelier team, we work closely with the Design and Development teams. As the Sample Machinist and Cutter at Rapha, you will work as part of the Atelier team, to offer creative solutions for the construction of new products from early ideation to resolving problems through the development process. You will be responsible for being part of the process in creating industry leading in house samples and mock ups.

**THE ROLE**:

- A FTC for 9-12-months
- Use in-depth understanding of woven and stretch fabric properties to accurately cut out pieces for making for all layers from contour to outerwear.
- Work flexibly across a range of product types.
- Coordinate with the Atelier team to deliver an efficient work stream to effectively meet deadlines.
- Work collaboratively with the Atelier team and relevant parties (e.g. Design and Development) to meet identified objectives for sample development.
- Work with the Atelier team for upkeep and maintenance of equipment and machinery.
- Support the monitoring and upkeep of materials library, supplies and miscellaneous items in the Atelier.
- Keep abreast of new and relevant manufacturing techniques; fabric knowledge and further relevant initiatives

**THE CANDIDATE**:

- Approximately 3-5 years experience in sample garment making or a similar role
- Meticulous skills to cut and construct products that look beautiful on the inside and outside.
- Ability to manage the workload to meet set deadlines and maintain a high standard of work.
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively across teams at Rapha.
- An attitude of openness and enthusiasm to collaborate in achieving effective solutions.
