**Receptionist Job Description**

Waltham International College is a provider of Higher and Further education for adults. It aims to integrate the talents of its students with their visions and aspirations to support them in their success.

A position has become available for a Receptionist at the Birmingham Campus, an enthusiastic and motivated individual. The post holder will be able to talk to employees and students when arriving or calling the business. They will be able to route calls to relevant departments and perform clerical tasks.

**Location**:Quayside 6th Floor, 260 Broad Street, Birmingham, B1 2HF. Occasional travel to other sites may be required

**Salary**:Competitive

**Contract**:Full time 40 hours a week and permanent role, including weekend work

**Qualifications/Experience**:

- Relevant experience of one-two year essential
- English language proficiency essential
- Enhanced DBS Essential

**Duties**:

- Maintaining security for the building by checking relevant ID cards for all members of staff and students and not allowing anyone to enter the premises without an ID
- Notifying relevant people that a visitor has arrived to see them
- Keeping track of the people arriving for appointments and when they leave the building
- Answering phone calls and where needed transferring phone calls to the relevant department
- Keeping a record of the allocated parking spaces and monitoring the staff members with parking needs
- Keeping a record of all the deliveries and posts and passing them to the Accounts Department
- Responsible for opening and closing of the college and have a strict eye on the cameras
- Regular checks of classrooms for heating/tidiness/loitering
- Stationary Orders and organisation of cleaners where nessesary

**Person Specification**:

- Office software proficiency
- Basic computer skills
- Handling multi-line phone systems
- Professional approach towards staff and students
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Focusing and prioritizing tasks

**Salary**: £22,800.00-£23,000.00 per year
