We are looking to recruit an Administrator/Receptionist at Orchard End Surgery, Cranbrook, Kent. This is an excellent opportunity to join a small friendly GP practice who delivers vital services to patients. 20.5 hours per week (plus holiday cover)

**Duties include**
- Managing patient requests in person, on the phone and via written communication
- Booking, amending, rescheduling, and cancelling patient appointments
- Distributing prescriptions
- Action patient care follow-up arrangements as per clinicians’ instructions
- Advising patients of chargeable services and processing payments
- Providing patients with information about the Practice Services
- General housekeeping of reception and waiting areas
- Arranging transport and home visits
- Managing medical records recording patient contracts, attaching correspondence electronically and in hard copy and filing in correct order
- Maintaining and updating the practice patient database
- Ensuring confidentiality and data protection is always observed.

This is a very busy environment where you will need to deal with people who are ill, worried, and sometimes upset and confused. You always need to be able to remain calm and behave in a professional manner.

Annual Leave - 25 days per annum, plus statutory bank holidays (pro rata)
