Location & Hours
The position will be based at the company’s Deptford warehouse. An element of remote working will be considered once training is complete. The hours of work will be 20 hours per week. The company can be flexible regarding the actual hours worked but they must be pre-agreed and within normal office hours.

**Overall Purpose**

The Pricing Controller will be responsible for reviewing and implementing supplier price increases, aiming to maintain/improve the company’s gross margin.

**Key Duties**
- Maintaining the departments price rise log and adding supplier price rise notifications.
- Inputting prices and other data onto price rise templates
- Saving back approved rises.
- Reviewing negotiation strategy with the Purchasing Manager.
- Reviewing competitor prices.
- Raising purchase orders to beat go live dates.
- Spot checking of data.
- Keeping within the company’s objective of completed rises by month end.
- Informing the department and Product Manager of any data changes or discontinued products
- Logging discontinued products onto the discontinued log.
- Some maintenance work on the Exchequer database.
- Informing the Purchasing Manager of any non-conformances.

**Other Duties**
- Giving feedback for supplier evaluation analysis
- To attend meetings, including the monthly staff meeting.
- To attend training as required.
- To inform the Warehouse Manager of any health and safety issues.
- To suggest any improvements or ideas that would be of benefit to the company.
- To act in the best interest of the company at all times.

**Reporting Relationships**

The Pricing Controller will be directly responsible to the Purchasing Manager, John Joyce and ultimately responsible to Ben Lyle, Managing Director.

The position is also closely linked with the Purchasing Supervisor and Purchasing Assistant, Purchase Ledger Administrator and members of the Marketing and Finance departments.

**Person Specification**

The Pricing Controller will be organised, self-motivated, diligent, and reliable. Experience in Excel is essential along with a demonstrably good eye for detail. Previous pricing experience is desirable but not essential but experience in purchasing and/or handling large volumes of data will be an advantage, as will an interest in our product range.
