**Job Role**: Travelling Communities Domestic Abuse Support Worker
**Salary**:£23,240 per year
**Hours**:37.5 hours per week
**Contract type**:Permanent
**Location**:Wiltshire
**Additional information**:
- On-call (1 in 4 weeks), £100/week when on-call
- A valid license and access to a vehicle
- Due to the nature of the role we can only accept female applicants
**The Role**:
You will be building positive relationships with a range of professionals across Wiltshire to ensure that they know how to recognise domestic abuse and refer to specialist services where appropriate. You'll also ensure that victims and survivors receive high quality assessments, immediate support and safety advise, referring them on to any relevant agencies.
**Responsibilities include**:
- To complete risk assessments and carry out effective safety planning with individuals
- Provide clients with information and ensure an enabling service so that the appropriate services can be accessed
- Actively work to establish multi-agency support network with the Gypsy, Roma and Traveller community
- Ensure that organisational administrative systems are accurately maintained and updated
**Qualifications / Requirements**:
- A valid UK driving licence and access to own vehicle - business insurance will be required for roles involving travel to work
- Experience working with vulnerable adults and/or people with complex needs
- Knowledge and understanding of Gypsy, Roma and Traveller communities, heritage and cultures
