An opportunity has arisen for the CDM Consultant to join our Property Compliance team. This role is a home based with the requirement to travel across England. The key purpose of the role is to support development of Property Compliance across the UK through the delivery of Principal Designer services under CDM 2015. This incorporates driving sustainable growth, statutory compliance and governance, retention and development of our client base.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Deliver 2x salary in fees annually through delivery of Principal Designer and Property Compliance Services to clients.
- Assist in growing the customer base so that the TRE positively contributes to the growth and financial performance of the business overall.
- Be a key team member within the Property Compliance BU, ensuring that the company culture and behaviours are always displayed.
- Work collaboratively with other people across the other divisions to achieve TRE targets and present a seamless approach to clients.
- Ensure the delivery of a professional and exceptional service to clients.
- Adhere to Concerto CRM, CASE and Quality Management processes. Develop the Principal Designer & Property Compliance service line, working with the Head of Property Compliance.
- Support other TRE BU’s.
- Follow industry practice and legislation to deliver competent Principal Designer and Property Compliance Services.
- Develop customer relationships with both existing and potential clients through fully understanding their requirements.
- Deliver minimum 2x salary in fees through personal delivery or contribution
- Aim to secure £250k fees in 2021-22 through personal contact or direct business development activity through developing current or past client relationships.
- Develop network and work collaboratively with all contacts, working closely with them to manage and offer new business activity for all services across the business but with focus on TRE services, ensuring this is applied to all new opportunities.
- Attend and contribute to T&RE Property Compliance Meetings where required.

**Competencies**:

- Excellent understanding of Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015.
- Good understanding of wide UK construction and property H&S legislation such as Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012, Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 etc.
- Demonstrable experience of working in the UK construction industry in a wide range of sectors including, but not limited to; healthcare, IT, general refurbishment, commercial and public sector.
- Good experience on working as part of a design team to identify and eliminate hazards present within the design; including experience of preparing, reviewing and updating hazard elimination documentation (such as design risk assessments)
- Provision of advice to clients on how to comply with their duties under CDM 2015 and experience in assisting the client in the discharge of those
- Experience in assessing the competency of designers and Principal Contractor’s.
- Experience in preparing and reviewing the statutory documents associated with CDM 2015 including Pre-Construction Information, Construction Phase Plan and H&S Files etc.
- Experience in undertaking site audits and inspections
- Ideally experience in assisting Principal Contractor’s to comply with their obligations under CDM 2015.
