Working for a large established industrial agriculture and plant factory, you will have the opportunity to be part of a dynamic and forward-thinking team.

Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to join their Technical and Supply Chain Teams. This is a very exciting new opportunity, whereby you can really make the role your own and be a significant part of the companies continuedsuccess.

You will be a product expert within the contract packing operation whereby you will manage on site stocks and through monitoring and planning, ensure correct usage to optimise performance and deliver against quality and financial criteria.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Be the key point of contact providing recommendations and support and to feedback on performance and issues on a daily basis.
- Daily assessment / appraisal of stock position on all categories from an age and quality perspective.
- Call sample of fruit from storage for assessment where necessary.
- Ensure fruit is packed based on fruit assessment and communicate to appropriate stakeholders if different to FIFO protocol
- Advise to Production / QA in advance of challenging pallets or consignments being required to be worked.
- Raise disposal requests or highlight stock for market/charity where not in saleable condition or in exceedance of residency limits.
- Document assessments of fruit performance on the line, level of waste, Cat III etc.
- Document assessments of graded out stock and necessary reporting to Categories and Production if deviation from the standard (Reject Analysis).
- Feedback and dialogue with Category Teams and Source i.e. Spanish Team where findings require follow up.
- Feedback to QA Team to override initial intake assessments where grade-outs differ greatly from anticipated %.
- Daily assessment / appraisal of packed stock position (semi direct and ex packhouse).
- Manage pack ahead planning based on raw material assessments.
- Monitor condition and communicate issues with any market, CAT III, charity or sample pallets or cases residing on stock over time
- Maintain an oversight of Shelf-Life Performance.
- Assess and communicate out where Daily Shelf-Life Failures could impact on complaints, stock usage or purchase decisions.
- Ensure new products are set up according to the relevant Supply Chain and Technical Account Managers requirements.
- Create purchase orders for all incoming materials.
- Process goods receipting of all arrivals.
- Create daily jobs. Enter all data for jobs processed through packhouse.
- Create sales orders and process all dispatches.
- Work with production to ensure correct labour levels are maintained based on raw material usages.

**Skills and attributes**:

- At least one years’ prior experience within a quality related function in fresh produce.
- Ability to make sound judgement calls based on all factors - quality, commercial and customer.
- Ability to understand and interpret specification and use as a basis for routine decision making and actions.
- A determined and flexible outlook, able to communicate with confidence at all levels both internally and externally
- Ability to write clear and concise reports.
- Supply Chain, Planning or Procurement experience would be advantageous.
