**Location: London 2 or 3 days in office**

The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) prosecutes criminal cases that have been investigated by the police and other investigative organisations in England and Wales. The CPS is independent, and we make our decisions independently of the police and government.

Our duty is to make sure that the right person is prosecuted for the right offence, and to bring offenders to justice wherever possible.

The CPS:

- decides which cases should be prosecuted.
- determines the appropriate charges in more serious or complex cases and advises the police during the early stages of investigations.
- prepares cases and presents them at court; and
- provides information, assistance and support to victims and prosecution witnesses.

**As a HR Advisor your main responsibilities would be**:

- Work in partnership with the Line Managers, stakeholders, and Senior Leaders across the business, providing high quality specialist HR advice on all HR issues, ensuring that advice reflects current national HR policy and is compliant with current UK employment legislation.
- Support managers in the management of day-to-day HR issues to minimise the risk of disputes.
- Prepare paperwork for final stage meetings between management and staff and for employment tribunal cases.
- Provide advice and guidance to HQ Directorate/Divisional management teams on a wide range of HR issues to improve staff engagement, performance, attendance, conduct, health and well-being, including the handling and preparation of Occupational Health (OH) Assist referrals, organisational change and managing redeployment etc.
- Prepare monthly performance reports for the HQ Business Managers and Senior/HRBP in relation to HR issues, identifying trends and issues for action by senior managers.
- Participation in audits and/or reviews to assess levels of compliance with HR policies, identifying good practices and areas for improvement.
- Support the Senior/HRBP on staff engagement activities as a result of findings in staff surveys
- Take a lead role in implementation and assurance of all new and existing HR policies

**You’ll have relevant experience in**:

- CIPD Level 5 qualification or higher
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law
- Previous experience working in a large complex organisation
- Strong Stakeholder Engagement and management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Confident with Microsoft Office Products and maintaining HR Records

**Desirable**
- Previous experience within the Public Sector or Civil Service
- Experience with Oracle HR or other HR Management Systems
