Welder/ Fabricator

Based in Barry, South Wales, at our 19,000 sq ft Engineering and Servicing Operations, and delivering across the UK.

Working for a dynamic growing supplier of waste machinery including containers. The role will involve refurbishing existing compactors and balers also the fabrication of new waste management equipment.

We have a requirement for experienced Fabricator/Welders for a workshop-based role. PPE will be provided.

**ESSENTIAL**:

- Qualified or time served Welder Fabricator with experience in a manufacturing environment.
- MIG & MAG welding experience
- The ability to work well independently and as part of a team
- Be able to weld vertical and overhead joints
- Must be able to read CAD technical drawings and capable of working to +- 2mm tolerance
- Good numeracy and mechanical skills as well as be able to work at heights or in confined spaces

**TASKS**:
Duties will include the assembly and welding of compactors, balers, skips and containers.
- Experience in Fabricating to a very high standard.
- Ability to work from written and verbal instructions.
- Perform all welding work with help of forming and cutting equipment, guillotines, iron workers etc.
- Prepare parts for welding
- Heavy and sheet Fabrication
- Assemble machine components and perform modifications and repair work if required.
- Provide assistance to other engineering/workshop activities.
- Focusing on creating a finished product
- Ability to work to deadlines
- Adhering and implementing Health and Safety policies as laid out by the company
- Maintain a clean and tidy work space

**SKILLS**:

- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance would be an advantage
- Welding and fabricating skills
- Willingness to take on responsibilities and challenges
- Be reliable, responsible, and dependable in fulfilling obligations and deadlines.
- You would need to be adaptable and flexible open to change

**Salary**: £26,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
