We are hiring a dedicated and reliable Assistant Cook to assist the cook with ingredient preparation as well as perform all washing and cleaning duties required in the kitchen. Your role will involve preparing a diverse menu, adhering to recipes and food safety guidelines, and contributing to menu innovation. **Responsibilities**
- To assist in the preparation, cooking and presentation of all meals services at the required times to the company's standard and client satisfaction.
- To ensure the company and statutory regulations pertaining to the safety and hygiene operation of the kitchen and ancillary areas are adhered to by all members of staff.
- To assist the management with planning menus, orders and checking and receiving deliveries.
- To ensure that all areas under your control are left clean and tidy.
- To assist with stock control procedure.
- Follow food hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen in accordance with health and safety, food hygiene and COSHH regulations at all times.
- Undertake cleaning and washing up as directed in the kitchen and seating areas.
- Ensure that recipes and portion sizes are followed accurately to maintain consistency in taste, presentation and quality of dishes.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations.

- Food Safety: Knowledge of food safety guidelines, including proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices.

- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey instructions, report issues, and collaborate with team members.
- Organisational: Excellent organisational skills to maintain a clean and well-organised workspace.
- Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with other team members to achieve common goals.
- Attention to Detail: Keen attention to detail when following recipes, ensuring portion control, and plating dishes attractively.
- Time Management: Effective time management skills to prioritise tasks and manage multiple responsibilities within a fast-paced environment to ensure timely preparation of meals.
- Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances and willingness to take on new tasks and responsibilities when required.
- Regulatory Compliance: Understanding local health and safety regulations, ensuring full compliance.As a Ice Cream Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to provide exceptional customer service and serve various flavours of ice cream to customers. You will create a delightful and memorable experience for customers whilst maintaining cleanliness, managing inventory, and upholding food safety standards. You will be required to interact with customers by taking their orders, providing recommendations and addressing any queries they have, as well as ensuring customer satisfaction..

**Responsibilities**
- Greet customers warmly, assist them in choosing ice cream flavours, and providing recommendations based on their preferences.
- Keep the serving area, display fridge, and utensils clean and sanitised. Regularly wipe down counters and clean equipment.
- Monitor ice cream and topping supplies, restock as needed, and rotate stock to maintain freshness. Report inventory levels to the manager and assist with placing supply orders.
- Introduce seasonal specials and limited-time offers to keep the menu fresh and enticing, encouraging repeat business and attracting new customers.
- Familiarise yourself with the ice cream flavours, ingredients and allergens to answer customers questions and make suitable recommendations.
- Prepare additional menu products such as sundaes and milkshakes, following specific guidelines and ensuring accuracy in decoration and presentation.
- Engage with customers, create a friendly atmosphere, and handle customer feedback professionally, seeking assistance from the manager when needed.
- Comply with health and safety regulations, food safety standards and cleanliness guidelines.
- Ensuring that the ice cream area as well as additional areas are clean and well-maintained. This includes cleaning tables, chairs, and countertops, ensuring near and tidy appearance of the café.
- Warmly welcoming customers as they arrive at the café, providing menus and escorting them to their tables.
