**Position Overview**:
We're searching for experienced and compassionate Senior Support Workers to join our team. In this role, you'll provide essential support and guidance to children in our residential homes, creating a safe and supportive atmosphere where they can flourish. You'll collaborate closely with the management team to implement personalised care plans and ensure the highest standards of care are upheld.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Conduct regular checks on children and young people throughout the night, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Provide emotional support and reassurance to children who may be experiencing difficulties sleeping or feeling anxious.
- Respond promptly and effectively to any incidents or emergencies that may arise during the night, following established protocols and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of night-time activities and any incidents that occur, reporting them to the appropriate personnel.
- Assist with bedtime routines and preparations, ensuring that children are settled and comfortable before the night begins.
- Work collaboratively with other night staff to ensure smooth transitions and continuity of care throughout the night.
**Qualifications and Experience Required**:
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Residential Childcare (Children and Young People).
- Proven experience working in a residential children's home or similar environment, ideally in a senior or supervisory capacity.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a talent for building rapport and trust with children and colleagues alike.
- Strong leadership qualities and decision-making abilities, coupled with a compassionate and empathetic approach to care.
- Familiarity with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures governing the welfare of children and young people.

Pay: £25,000 - £27,000 per year
