We are looking for a talented Events Fundraiser to work for a well-known charity in East Lothian.

The post holder will support the fundraising department to inspire, develop and co-ordinate increased involvement from supporters, as well as managing new and existing relationships with volunteers, donors, organisations and partners.

**Responsibilities**
- Developing an events fundraising portfolio that will achieve agreed income targets in line with the overall fundraising strategy, review and update this on an ongoing basis.
- Play a leading role in growing fundraising activity and income through supporter led fundraising, local groups and organisations.
- Recruit, develop and implement cost-effective, fundraising activities with existing and new volunteers and supporters to raise awareness and maximise income for the Charity.
- Cultivate relationships in the community, including individuals and groups, partner organisations and local businesses to create an engaged and active supporter and volunteer base.
- Plan, coordinate and attend talks and presentations with community groups and local organisations, store collections and static cans, and accepting cheques and donations.
- Organise and deliver a calendar of events, developing proposals for new events which have the potential to grow and maximise income.
- Cultivate new and existing relationships with volunteers, supporters and businesses to secure sales, participation, fundraising, sponsorship, and prizes for events.
- Co-ordinate volunteer and staff support for events as required.
- Develop promotional media and materials.
- Updating the website and social media channels regularly as required.
- Fundraising reporting and administrative support.
- Ensure all event and community activities are in line with legal requirements, including data protection and health and safety.
- Maintain all records on the database relating to events and fundraising.
- Produce monthly reports relating to progress towards agreed targets.
- Responsible for cash handling, and banking money for fundraising in the local community.
- Participate in mandatory training as per the charity’s policies and practices.
- Contribute to budget setting and monitor costs in line with budgets.

**Skills & Experience**
- Proven experience of generating income through community and event planning including organisation, marketing and delivery.
- Experience of successfully recruiting participants, supporters, and/or volunteers for events.
- Experience of growing external financial support through excellent stewardship.
- Knowledge of the community, including externally organised events which have the potential to generate income, and local organisations and companies.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office and fundraising CRM.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, including public speaking.
- Ability to manage a busy and varied workload.
- Ability and experience in developing and implementing promotional plans Personal characteristics / attributes.

**Salary**: £28,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
