Scarborough Whitby and Ryedale Mind are looking for a new community and events fundraiser. This person will develop our community engagement, coordinate small fundraising events or opportunities and help recruit new individuals and groups to take on challenge events or organising their own fundraiser.
You’ll work closely with our senior management team to help recruit and engage supporters, sharing the great work our organisation does and help us reach our fundraising targets.
Looking after new and existing community supporters, ensuring they have a positive experience through their interaction with SWR Mind.
· Helping us grow our income to fund delivery of mental health support across Scarborough, Whitby and Ryedale
· Finding new fundraisers and fundraising opportunities.
· Effectively supporting, recruiting, and coordinating fundraising volunteers.
· Raising awareness of community fundraising and other income generating opportunities through social media, marketing, and awareness events.
We’re looking for someone with experience either in fundraising, managing events or transferable skills in building great relationships and partnerships.
· You should be able to work as part of our small team and work flexibly in order to support existing local events and manage new fundraising events.
· You must be compassionate and non-judgmental, helping support fundraisers who may have lived experience of mental ill health or families who have been impacted by the mental ill health of a loved one.
· The post holder must have a driving license and regular access to a car due to a large area coverage.
