**The Role**

We have an exciting opportunity for a Contracts Supervisor to join Lochwynd. Under the direction of the Operations Manager.
- To ensure the management of and satisfactory completion of Civils works to client specifications and conduct works in accordance with Lochwynd Limited policies and procedures to meet budgets and timescales imposed.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:
The Operations Supervisor will run the day to day Operations from Job initiation to satisfactory completion including the following general guidelines of work:

- Oversee sites, from setup to completion, controlling all aspects of site operations.
- Overseeing contracts including the co-ordination of sub-contracts/ sub-contractors.
- Assisting the Contracts team with the Company Works Tracker / Programme of Works and reporting daily to Directors.
- Liaising with Contracts team regarding Programme of Works and projected resource requirements.
- The Operations Supervisor will be controlling and managing site materials, ordering materials, site labour and drawings, method statements and all other site documentation.
- Attending job pre-start and completion meetings as and when required.
- Attending progress meetings and liaise with clients, contractors and other professionals associated with the project, often producing weekly reports.
- Responsible for and to oversee weekly site meetings and receiving reports to gather knowledge of progress on site and conducting site inspections of sub contractor's work.
- Ensuring a good level of communication from the ground to the Client to ensure any problems are resolved quickly.
- Ensuring on-site quality, health & safety, welfare, and environmental aspects are adhered to.
- Ensuring all Client Documentation requirements achieved including Method Statements, Risk Assessments and any Site-Specific documentation is produced.
- Sourcing new business where possible.
- Assisting Operations Director with any other duties as may be required.
- Ensuring all health and safety on site is always maintained to the highest level possible.
- Ensuring the client’s needs are met at all time.
- Ensuring the health and safety of the operatives is always maintained on site.
- Ensuring the requirements of the company policies are adhered to all times.
- Ensuring job delivery to budget and timescales.
- Accountable to the Operations Director and to conduct works in a safe, diligent manner.
- Upholding the reputation of the Company as an efficient, flexible service sub-contractor.
- Ensure Client relationships are maintained and nurtured.
- Ensure job completion to high standards whilst meeting budgetary and timescale requirements.
- Highlight any areas of improvement when it comes to method of working and health and safety on site.
- Wear personal protective equipment.
- Inspect and as appropriate fuel equipment pre-works.
- Report any equipment defects.
- Report any personal injuries.
- Report any near misses to the QHSE Dept.
- Ensure operations conducted in accordance with Method Statements & Risk Assessments.
- Ensure all projects are effectively controlled to Client satisfaction.

**Principle Authorities**:

- Job Pre-Site/On-Site Checklist review & authorisation.

**Key Working Relationships**:

- The Job Holder will:

- Work closely with Operations Director, Managers and Directors.
- Build and maintain relationships with team members.

**Key Skills/Experience Requirements**:
The Job Holder will/may have:

- Groundworks experience.
- General Civil Engineering experience.
- Project Management experience.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- The ability to motivate and direct a team.
- Clean UK Full Driving Licence

**Qualification Requirements**:

- CSCS/ECS Touch screen Test Certificate.
- Site Manager Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS)
- NRASWA Supervisor Card.
- Health and Safety Training.
- Emergency First Aid at Work.
- Risk Management Training.
- SVQ/NVA in Construction or Civil Engineering Qualification.

**Training Requirements**:

- Following the necessary Induction and on-the-job training, it is expected that the Job Holder would have all the skills to perform the job.
- At the Induction the company’s specific policies, processes, procedures and methods will be presented.
- The job holder is expected to acquire new process skills and technical innovations and training / refresher training will be provided as appropriate.
- Work closely with Contracts team and Operations Director to familiarise with Client Base / Services we offer.
- Specialist skills training may be obtained externally. This will be organised by the QHSE Manager.
