**The Role**
We are looking for a Night Porter who would enjoy working across luxury hotel and a unique historic hotel. The Night Porter will work with the Reception Manager ensuring the smooth operations within the hotel and reception throughout the night.
To deliver an exceptional high level of service which exceeds all guests’ expectations, by greeting all our guests in a warm and welcoming manner to create exceptional first impressions.
**Overview of the role**
- To be responsible for the overall security of the hotel during the shift
- To ensure a high degree of presence in the Reception, Lobby and Lounge areas
- To ensure the Night Team comply to company image standards and departmental SOP’s
- To ensure all aspects of reservations have been entered correctly - guest type, company history, guest history etc.
- To thoroughly audit each days business, dealing with and resolving mistakes. Ensuring all reports are distributed correctly to relevant department Managers.
- To ensure Front Office standards of operation are strictly adhered to
- To ensure all monies are safely secured in the appropriate safes and the keys are also kept on your person
- To ensure room service standards are maintained at all times during shift and in line with Room Service SOP.
- Close liaison with the Restaurant and Bar Team with regards to handover of the Bar, serve guests alcohol and food
- Assisting Reception Manager with completion of reports
- To check guest in and out of the system quickly and efficiently
- To ensure public areas are clean and tidy after last guest retires and returned to standard layout.
- To ensure that the hotel has the correct information and requirements for all guests as they check in
**ESSENTIAL**
- Previous night’s Porter/ reception experience
- Knowledge of Buxton and local attractions
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Reliable, Efficient and pro-active
- Confident and effective communicator who can converse at all levels
- High levels of personal presentation and grooming

Under the Ensana brand, we manage two hotels in Buxton, situated adjacent to each other, they are the Buxton Crescent Hotel & Old Hall Hotel.

The Crescent has undergone an extensive redevelopment and restoration completed in October 2020, the luxury Hotel offers circa 81 bedrooms, including suites, extensive Spa facilities, with a Thermal Natural Water Spa, and Spa lounge. The Hotel has a stunning Restaurant, bar and incorporates the magnificent Assembly rooms, Card room, and conference meeting rooms for business meetings and Weddings. Buxton Crescent Hotel & Thermal Spa offers our guests an ultimate luxury 5* experience.
The Old Hall hotel is reputed to be the oldest Hotel in the UK, with charm and full of historic character our guests love. Situated opposite the beautiful Pavilion Gardens and within the vicinity of the famous Buxton Opera House, this is a quirky small friendly hotel which offers warmth in working with such a small team.
