**Andrews Pharmacy is looking to recruit a Dispensing Assistant to join our team in Macclesfield**
This is a full-time position, 35-40 hours per week, working in our branch in Macclesfield, Cheshire.
As a Dispensing Assistant you will be a key member of the pharmacy team. You will be involved throughout the activity of dispensing prescriptions. This includes stock ordering, checking off orders and putting away, processing NHS and private prescriptions and dispensing prior to a check by a pharmacist. The role also requires a friendly nature, good administration skills, communication skills and a working knowledge of IT. You will also be required to provide health advice and sell medicines to our customers.
We will also consider recruiting someone who is currently untrained to be put through the NVA level 2 Dispensing Assistant training programme. Full training will be provided in both Medicine Counter Assistant and Dispensing Assistant role as part of NVQ level 2 in Pharmacy Services.
There may also be an opportunity to enrol for the NVQ level 3 course leading to registration as a Dispensing Technician.
You will work under the supervision of a responsible pharmacist, who will always be available should you need to refer a patient or seek advice.
Our starting rate is £11.80, plus 5.6 weeks holiday a year (inclusive of bank holidays).
