This an exciting opportunity for an experienced unqualified, level 2 or 3 practitioner to join a rapidly expanding nursery and forest school in Brook, Surrey, year-round with the opportunity to take on additional hours.

We are on a mission to provide an extraordinary learning experience for children, where they can connect with the wonders of the natural world. We believe that every child deserves the opportunity to grow, learn, and play in an environment that stimulates their curiosity and encourages exploration.

Practitioners will work alongside the Nursery Manager and the Forest School lead to deliver a fun and nature-inspired EYFS curriculum indoors and outdoors, in all weather

We are looking for practitioners who love the outdoors and have an excellent understanding of the EYFS as you will be required to effectively evidence and document the children’s learning journey.

**Responsibilities**

Develop genuine bonds with your key children and ensure they are having fun, whilst attending to their individual needs

To contribute toward the planning of a range of stimulating activities, ensuring the setting is well-resourced and creatively set up, and implementing play-based interest-led learning activities on a daily basis

Ensure that children’s learning and development is recorded in their learning journey

Be aware of the nurseries policies and procedures, ensuring they are adhered to

To act as a good role model to the children and other staff members at all times

**About you**

Takes initiative and demonstrates a proactive attitude, capable of independently managing tasks without constant supervision.

Thrives in a small team environment, fostering a collaborative spirit to achieve shared goals and contribute to a positive workplace culture.

Demonstrates a creative mindset, leveraging a deep understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) to contribute innovative ideas and activities into weekly planning.

Holds relevant qualifications in early childhood education or possesses substantial hands-on experience. Whether qualified or unqualified, a passion for nurturing young minds is paramount.

While not mandatory, a Forest School qualification would be a distinct advantage, showcasing a commitment to incorporating nature-based learning principles into the curriculum.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Temp to perm

**Salary**: £11.75 per hour

Expected hours: 8 - 16 per week
