The role of Cash & Bank Assistant is suited to an individual, with good knowledge and experience of managing bank accounts with high volumes of transactions.
Office based, with flexibility for home-working.
Key objectives
Reporting to the Cash & Bank Manager, you will work as part of a wider team who are responsible for managing the bank accounts and accurately posting the banking transactions to the financial ledgers
Key functions
- Post BACS, credit card receipts to customer accounts from banking platform on a daily basis
- Raising payments on the banking systems
- Bank reconciliations
- Contact customers for remittance advices
- Liaison with credit control and accounts payable teams to identify and post transactions accurately and on a timely basis
- Working with Cash & Bank Manager to streamline processes
Person Specifics
- Established background in an accounts receivable, cash & banking or accounting role, preferably in a similar industry
- Prior experience in an Account Receivable/cash & bank or accounting role
- Experience of handling high volumes of transactions methodically and ability to prioritise workload
- Excellent numeracy & analytical skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Good knowledge of MS Excel
- Proactive and able to work tasks without ongoing direction
- Team player with the ability to share knowledge
