**Industrial sewing machinist**

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced sewing machinist to join our friendly team based in Cardiff.

Working in the research and development department, you will be responsible for producing samples of military type products. Pattern making and documenting new designs will be a necessity, along with cutting out and sewing the pattern pieces to match the given specification. Working using your own initiative.

**Essential Skills**
- Experience working an industrial sewing machine.
- Perform basic machine maintenance i.e. changing needle and thread and cleaning the machine
- Reading and create patterns.
- Good sewing and fine finishing techniques
- Microsoft word, outlook and excel.
- Good communication skills

You will need to be hardworking, organized, proactive and self-motivated as working independently is key, demonstrating problem solving techniques as required.

**Working hours**

Monday - Friday 7.30am to 4.00pm with occasional overtime.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £11.00-£13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
