The Beacon is a newly built Residential Home providing full time care for young people. At The Beacon you will have the opportunity to join an expanding team in our home. We’re looking for creative, empathetic and resilient carers to join our Residential Care team as **Residential Care Officers **providing excellent care for children with disabilities. You’ll be passionate about care and deeply committed to helping children and young people with disabilities and who can present with challenging behaviour.

**Location**: Grantham

**Salary**: £23,194 - £25,878

**Hours**:37. Residential Care Officers are required to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service and a shift pattern is worked, including bank holidays and weekends. Waking night duty shifts are integral to the shift pattern. Please review the attached shift pattern example before applying.

We’re looking for creative, empathetic and resilient carers to join our Residential Care team as **Residential Care Officers**. You’ll be passionate about care and deeply committed to helping children and young people with disabilities and who can present with challenging behaviour. As an important member of our team, you’ll:

- Provide residential care for children and young people
- Work closely and consistently to promote the wellbeing of children and young people with disabilities
- Draft and adhere to specific care plans
- Understand and meet the diverse needs of each and every child
- Establish a trusting relationship with colleagues, parents, children and young people
- Remain calm and show resilience when handling children and young people who display challenging behaviour
