Transport Supervisor

Our client is looking a Kerbside Supervisor to support a team of Kerbside drivers and Kerbside loaders.
The main requirements of this role are to organise and control the safe operation of vehicles and crews.
You will be responsible for supporting the delivery of the Kerbside collection services across Wiltshire to the requirements of the contract.
Experience as a fleet supervisor, logistics supervisor, Transport supervisor, supervisor role or lengthy experience in a LGV role would be beneficial but not essential. LGV Licence holder again beneficial but not essential.
Monday to Friday 40 hours (the odd Catch up Saturdays)
Salary £27,152.47 pa

Key Tasks and Responsibilities
*To ensure that vehicles are allocated to maximum productivity.
*To deal with service issues, such as missed collections, overflowing containers
etc.
*To ensure that all vehicles are maintained, serviced and repaired in accordance
with the requirements of the Goods Vehicles Operators Licence and
manufacturer's instructions.
*To ensure compliance with service standards, to assist in the delivery of a quality
recycling service to the client and individual householders.
*To ensure that all required documentation is complete and accurate prior to
submission. To complete reports at month end for accident statistics,
performance data and financial monitoring. To complete monthly timesheets.
*To carry out Induction, H&S, Environmental and Quality related training and to
maintain appropriate records.
*To ensure that sufficient resources are available to enable the delivery of a quality
service.
*To monitor spend against agreed budgets and to raise purchase orders, and to
highlight any issues with the Kerbside Recycling Manager.
*To hold Management Review Meetings (MRM's), Annual Appraisals and assist
with disciplinary meetings with staff
