To assist with the operation of Health Records Services across all areas of Stockport NHS Foundation Trust.

As part of the role for Health Records porter, duties will include some physical lifting and pushing of trolleys. The safe and confidential delivery and retrieval of patients records from all areas around the Trust.

There is variety within this role which also includes, Preparation of patients records for future outpatients appointments and admissions and scanning of patients records onto the Evolve System

Filing patients records and housekeeping of our extensive library.

This post will be based within Health Records Departments and flexibility to work in all sections of the Department will be expected on completion of training.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a proactive and enthusiastic individual to join the team in the Health Records Department at Stockport NHS Foundation Trust.

Based mainly in the Centralised Health Records Library, you will be responsible for the collection, delivery and general movement of case notes around the Trust on a daily basis. The role also involves the provision of clerical support service within the Health Records Department, providing efficient admissions and ward round duties, admin duties, filing of patients records and library maintenance which is essential to the post. Also preparing patients records for outpatient appointments and undertaking all process within the Trust’s electronic scanning system.

The post holder will be required to use computerised systems such as PAS (Patient Administration System) and other hospital systems.

Main

**Responsibilities**:

- The post holder will be part of a team of staff who organise and provide all records functions within the Health Records Department.
- Providing a high quality Porter and admin service across all Health Records Departments.
- Pull, retrieve and prepare all case notes for out-patient clinics and admissions.
- Ensure availability of health records as and when required.
- Ensure the Trust standard required for the quality of the health records is maintained.
- Provide a Health Records Archiving service for the Trust.
- Re file the notes, whilst maintaining the libraries.
- Undertake all processes for the Evolve system

- If successful this vacancy will require a Standard DBS check at a cost of £21.90. This cost will be deducted from your first Trust salary

In addition to this it will be a condition of your employment that you will join the DBS update service and pay the annual subscription fee of £13.
