**What you’ll do**

We have an exciting opportunity for a Nursery Practitioner to join our Nursery team. Reporting to the Nursery Manager, you will enable FARE Scotland to develop and deliver high quality nursery services for children aged 2 - 5 years and their families through the development and operation of children’s indoor and outdoor nurseries in and around FARE Scotland’s head office in Easterhouse.

As part of your role, your main responsibilities will include:

- Effectively delivering activities/programmes ensuring that the individual needs and interests of the children in the setting are met.
- Keeping records of your key children’s development and learning journeys to share with parents, carers, and other key adults in the child’s life.
- Supporting all staff, and work well within a team.
- Developing and maintaining strong partnerships and communication with parents/carers to facilitate daily care and development needs.
- Working with all nursery policies and procedures and in line with current legislation.
- Ensuring that the indoor and outdoor environment is of high quality in order to meet the needs of all children in the nursery.
- Working as part of a larger team to ensure all essential day to day tasks are completed in line with the nursery demands including hygiene standards and room preparation.
- Understanding all safeguarding procedures, and to make the Designated Safeguarding Lead aware of any concerns in relation to the safeguarding of our children, families, or colleagues.
- Demonstrating effective written and verbal communication with all stakeholders of the nursery and wider community including parents, professionals and colleagues.
- Creating effective plans for children and families based on clear outcomes, ensuring a high degree of responsiveness to stakeholders and service users.
- Ensuring the safety, security and well-being of all children, staff and visitors at all times.

- Have a HNC Early Years or SVQ3 Early Learning and Childcare or SCQF7 Social Services Children and Young People.
- Experience working with children and young people with additional support needs.
