Here at Healeys, we’re on a journey to expand our managed pub/ restaurant estate and have recently added **Gylly Beach Cafe **to our portfolio. Since our humble beginnings as a cyder producer and visitor attraction, we have diversified into different areas of hospitality. This is a truly iconic site which has huge amounts of potential, however it’s important to us that we have the right team in place to drive the business forwards.

As one of our **Kitchen Porters/Assistants** you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen. Ensuring the kitchen is clean and tidy at all times and assisting with prep work as directed by the chefs.

What does success look like?
- To take ownership and responsibility of the safe operation of the dishwasher and wash up area.
- To follow cleaning schedules for the kitchen and to ensure that all PPE that is provided is worn and the Chemicals are used and stored correctly in accordance with COSHH regulations
- To support the full team including FOH and BOH at peak times and to undertake any operational duties which may be reasonably required to ensure a consistent high level of service.
- To ensure that all bins, waste and recyclable materials are handled and disposed of correctly.
- To assist with food preparation as directed and to support the smooth running of the Kitchen at peak times
- To ensure that the Kitchen’s equipment is cleaned and stored safely when not being used.
- Being able to spot and support a team member who needs help, and welcoming new team members to Cyderhouse by sharing your experience to settle them in.
- Making sure that your workplace is fit for purpose and is looking at it’s best at all times ensuring any Health & Safety issues or repairs are reported to the Head Chef or Duty Manager as soon as possible
- To be open to completing tasks which may fall outside of your role or remit with a positive, sleeves rolled up mentality

While fit and personality are important to us, preference will be given to applicants who can showcase the following skills / experience:

- Experience in a similar field is desirable
- Knowledge of food health and safety regulations.
- A passion for the drinks and hospitality industry
