**Publishing Assistant - Rockstar Needed to Manage Projects**

We are hiring a dedicated and well-organised publishing assistant. We need you to assist our authors to go from manuscript to published book that is globally available in 12 weeks. Up for the challenge? Let's dive in.

We are 9 years into our journey as a modern self-publishing company and have been growing at a rapid pace. We are currently a team of 6 full-time remote staff and over 30+ freelancers.

Due to the growth of the business, we are looking for a publishing assistant to join us.

**Responsibilities include**:

- You will need to guide authors through the publishing process (training will be provided).
- Liaise between authors and editors, cover designers, typesetters, illustrators etc.
- Jump on calls with authors should a project hit a roadblock to assess where the issue has arisen and of course resolve the issue.
- Onboarding calls with authors to assist them with delivering the key information we need to get started (training will be provided).
- Reviewing more complex publishing proposals to assess resources needed to deliver (training will be provided).
- Ability to review and make sense of detailed feedback submitted by authors on illustrations, covers and other materials.
- Must then submit this feedback clearly and concisely to cover designers, illustrators etc.

**Skills required**:

- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Strong ability to multi-task and prioritise.
- Strong communication skills to liaise with the team internally and externally with authors.
- Proficiency in English and ability to write very well.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.

**Skills not required, but a plus**:

- Experience with Trello
- Publishing knowledge or experience in the industry.
