After five years of phenomenal growth and numerous awards, we are backed by a joint venture partnership between Legal & General PLC and NatWest Group Pension Trustee Limited. We are on course to significantly transform the later life experience in the UK with a commitment to expand our portfolio to 34 retirement villages, which equates to around 5,000 age-appropriate homes for retirees.

**The Role**:

- Leading all communications through a variety of innovative channels, internal and external
- Positively influencing key stakeholders to develop a consistent and compelling brand narrative
- Advising the CEO and Board in delivering strategic messaging aligned to business plan
- Collaborating with funding partners ensuring quality of communications are exceeded and best practice is adopted
- Driving integrated campaigns in collaboration with all areas of the business
- Influencing thought leaders on the perception of aging in the UK and retirement living
- Leading crisis management communications
- Prepare messaging for CEO and Operations Director at resident meetings
- Supporting Sales & Marketing in preparing advertorials and other collateral to drive sales
- Collaborating with Head of Digital to enhance messaging across all channels
- Supporting Planning and Development in managing relationships with PR agencies
- Partnering with People & Culture to maximise strategic messaging both internally (colleague engagement) and externally (employer value proposition)
- Advising on tone of voice in relation to equity, diversity, inclusion and belonging (EDI&B)
- Maintaining and enhancing close partnership with third-party PR agencies to ensure synergy of communications
- Implementing an annual communications and events calendar aligned to business activities and opportunities
- Monitoring competitor activity and provide strategic and tactical recommendations.

**Key Requirements**:

- Heading up strategic communications both internally and externally
- Evidence of positively influencing employee engagement, brand messaging and sales
- Managing high profile or reputational matters involving numerous stakeholders with conflicting priorities
- Previously worked within a multi-site business with experience collaborating with internal / external teams
- Deep understanding of PR, journalism, internal communications, and digital communications.
