Support. Educate and Nurture

We have a new position for a TA in a Primary school in Leeds. The position is to support a small class of 8 pupils with Autism and Speech and Language Delays. They are working at an EYFS level and KS1.

The ideal person for this role will be caring and compassionate with a calm approach to learning. They will be fun and creative with a dynamic approach to engage the pupils and help develop communication skills along with literacy, numeracy and independence. The role is either full time or part time, school hours are 8:30 - 3:30 Monday - Friday we can also consider a 3.00 finish.

The School is a vibrant and dynamic with a caring and nurturing approach.

The role
- To support the teacher in delivering lessons tailored to the pupils' abilities.
- Supporting the pupils' in developing skills such as communication and social skills.
- Taking a caring approach to engage the pupils.
- Supporting when required with challenging behaviour.
- communicating and reporting back to the teacher each day on the pupils development and keeping logs on the learning journals.
- When required to engage with the parents.
- Keeping the learning environment safe, clean and tidy for development.
- Will have experience in supporting young people or adults with Autism
- Have a caring approach to supporting young people.
- Passionate about making and improving the learning journey for young people with SEND
- May have an Autism awareness qualification but not a must
- May have a childcare or TA qualification but not a must

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Temp to perm

Pay: £80.00-£100.00 per day
