Lilian Faithfull Care is a well-established charity based in Gloucestershire that provides care, support and a home for Life for the elderly.

We are looking for a new member of staff to be the Clinical Lead at Bay Tree Court Residential home in the heart of Prestbury, Cheltenham. **Working between Monday to Friday, days can be flexible, but will include GP visit days. 1 weekend in 3.**

**This is a great opportunity to pass on your clinical skills and knowledge to staff in the home.**
- Please note you will need to be living within reasonable commuter distance of Bay Tree Court, with an active UK Nurse PIN_
- Responsibilities of a Clinical Lead:_

To assist the home manager in all the Clinical aspects of running the Home and in the provision and delivery of day to day care.

At all times ensuring the highest standards of care and dignity are maintained. whilst meeting the needs of our residents.

You will support the care team on a day to day basis. You must be capable of problem solving with the team and be able to communicate effectively at all levels to ensure the smooth running of the home,
- Liaise with GPs and other health care professionals to ensure that residents receive the medical and clinical support they require.
- Ensure that clear and accurate records and communication systems relating to clinical and care delivery are maintained and effectively used
- Encouraging residents to maintain their independence as fully as possible
- Assisting with mobility, personal hygiene, dressing and feeding ensuring dignity and respect for the resident at all times whilst helping and encouraging residents to undertake these tasks for themselves as appropriate.
- In addition there is a requirement to teach, and lead by example, new and inexperienced staff members in all clinical aspects of their work in the home.
- You will also help to support the management team in the monitoring, supervision and training of the staff in the home.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience of managing a team (ideally in a nursing / residential care environment)
- Strong leadership skills
- The ability to communicate effectively at all levels with both internal and external agencies
- A caring individual who is compassionate about providing care and support to elderly whilst helping people retain their dignity & respect their privacy
- Have an active Nurses Pin
- Ideally previous experience as a Dementia Lead or working towards being one.
- Understand the requirements of the Mental Capacity Act (2005) and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (2008) in relation to consent and best interest decision making.
- Rota would be Monday to Friday, with 1 in 3 weekends and part of the on call rota.

Part-time hours: 24 per week

**Salary**: £18.00-£19.00 per hour
