**Location**:Manchester

This is a full-time in office role. The office is located next to Piccadilly Gardens in Manchester.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

- Line manage team of specialists and coordinators.
- Responsible for the development, successful implementation and communication of the paid social media and digital marketing strategy for a portfolio of key brands (journals, initiatives, corporate).
- Build and visualise complex campaign and audience segmentation structures.
- Manage portfolio budget.
- Provide training, support and mentorship to team members and others across the business.
- Weekly monitoring and monthly/quarterly reporting of campaign performance.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with portfolio and others across the business.
- Develop bespoke paid strategies for key campaigns.
- Key message and content creation.
- Content oversight/approval

**Profile**:

- Academic degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Advertising (or related).
- 3+ years’ experience of developing social media and digital marketing strategies for business
- Experience in managing or mentoring team of digital marketing professionals.
- Very good knowledge of Advertising Managers including Google and Bing
- Very Good knowledge of Google's suite of digital marketing tools and platforms
- Excellent understanding of brand, communication, and digital marketing principles.
- Excellent English language skills (written and spoken), other language skills are beneficial.
- Excellent organizational, analytical and prioritization abilities.
- Interest in science and science communications (previous experience in the industry a plus).
- Experience of running campaigns to generate sales or leads a plus.
