The role will involve dealing with the senior executive team at USSIM as well as working with the internal teams across Investments, Risk, Performance, Operations and Technology.
The role sits within USSIM and reports to the Head of Business Change

**Key Responsibilities**

The individual will be responsible for coordinating a project that aims to define and implement a new operating model and infrastructure for the Equities team and the USSIM Net Zero requirements. Workstreams fall into three broad categories:
**Systems enhancement**
- Continued system enhancements and modules to support
- Quant Equities
- Net Zero data requirements
- Quant equities data requirements
- Net Zero models
- Enhanced performance and attribution
- Integration of net zero into all asset classes investment decisions
- Transition of net zero models from EUC to more sustainable platforms
- Drive the automation of some of the climate reporting
- Improving and adding addition trading venues platforms: Liquidnet, CBOE Bids etc
- Supporting the USSIM balanced scorecard
- Fully engaged and aware of the USSIM Data Strategy and focus

**Tactical deliveries**
- The delivery of short-term gains in the form of high priority enhancements to Bloomberg modules
- Enhance and improve access to data
- Activities in response to other high-profile initiatives within the organisation such as enhancements to the Scheme’s defined contribution product offering, requirements to satisfy ESG, improved liquidity framework as well as collateral management.

**Strategic deliveries**
- Definition of the long-term strategic vision, capability set and make-up of the quant equities team.
- Planning out a long-term roadmap of activities and milestones that support the ultimate delivery of the strategic end state.
- Managing activities throughout the delivery phase.

The role will work closely with the Head of Equities, Head of Fixed Income and Strategy, Head of PMG, Head of Operations, Head of Investment Strategy and Advice, USSIM COO and Head of Performance and Investment Risk, Technology as well as with other BusinessChange resources such as Business Analysts.

The role will be responsible for defining the scope for each deliverable within the workstream and agreeing and managing a realistic plan for their delivery, taking into account the necessary approvals, resource implications, budget planning, governanceand associated reporting on progress against those plans.

**Essential**
- Highly experienced in financial services experience (ideally pensions or other investment management), with thorough knowledge and understanding of financial products and instruments.
- Experience of managing complex projects with a ‘hands on’ approach.
- Logical, structured thought processes and good problem-solving skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills - able to engage with and gain confidence of senior management and business representatives.
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams, with competing priorities and differing delivery timescales.
- Strong communication skills - written, pictorial, presentational and verbal, with the ability to question and challenge business users.
- Strong influencing skills.
- High level of structure and organisation and the ability to work across teams.
- Ability to work with PMO and provide timely and accurate MI
- Experience with data initiatives and deliverables

**Desirable**
- A good understanding of Equities and Net Zero/ESG systems/data/regulations/business is highly desirable
- Knowledge of cloud based data solutions
