Production Supervisor

Do you see yourself as an inspiring leader with a keen eye for driving improvements across a fast-paced production environment?
As a Production Supervisor for this site in Bolton, you’d be coming in to strengthen the team, make day to day improvements and help them to prepare for a massive surge in business over the next couple of years.
You’ll be looking after a small team of TLs and Operators and will be their first point of contact for any support or queries, so a decent amount of leadership experience will be needed here.
To give you an idea of how the team works, there are 3 Supervisors (including you), 1 works closely with the Production Manager to work on more strategic plans for the department, while you and the other each have a team of around 9 (made up of Shop Floor and Team Leaders)
The bulk of your everyday responsibilities will lie in mentoring the other Supervisors and Team Leaders to help them develop their skillsets; you’ll also be working closely with the rest of the team on the shop floor as you look at driving KPIs and day to day efficiency improvements across the production lines and ensuring measures are put in place to remove/prevent any issues.
You’ll be doing this while demonstrating an attitude that promotes quality and accuracy, as well as championing a CI culture and conducting things like return to work interviews for your team members as well.
Culturally, the business really pays attention to the people that work there and try to do as much as they can to make it a positive place to work. They’re big on training and investment, wellbeing and mental health (every member of the senior team is MHFA trained) and having been to the site myself multiple times, the people are just nice and actually care. The site also has massive growth plans thanks to a really strong pipeline so there’ll definitely be avenues for you to progress here for a good chunk of your career if that’s something you want as well.
You’d be based at the site in Bolton, it’s a days based role but there’d need to be a willingness to be flexible if ever required and starting salary is around £32-37k plus bonus, healthcare and loads of other perks.
