Manchester Piccadilly Hotel, set in the heart of Cottonopolis, is Manchester’s largest four-star hotel with 338 bedrooms including 18 suites, only a 5-minute walk away from the Manchester Piccadilly train station.

**Introduction to the Conference and Banqueting Team Member Role.**

Our Conference and Banqueting Assistants are hardworking individuals who can work on their own initiative and are key players in Conference and Banqueting teams. Our CB team prepare coffee breaks, carts, and stations with appropriate food and beverages as stated in Banquet Event Order. They prepare tables, action stations, buffets, service carts, dessert table/carts and cordial carts.

Our team welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests' service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests with genuine appreciation.

They communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen. The CB Team Member will respond to and try to fulfil any special banquet event arrangements and replenish buffet items to ensure consistency and freshness in presentation. They monitor tableware to ensure it is presentable to guests while maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned station and service areas.

**As part of this role, you will**:

- Set up conference rooms in accordance with RSM standards and requirements whilst ensuring that the rooms (including equipment) meet the client’s requirements and are ready for use before their arrival.
- Ensure that all conference rooms and conference and banqueting areas are kept clean, tidy and presentable at all times.
- Ensure that all equipment is managed through the correct handling, storage and maintenance procedure.
- Serve refreshments, lunches and dinner service when required.
- Carry out stock takes.
- Report any damage or hazards to the management team, alongside any complaints.
- Manage any guest queries in a timely and efficient manner.
- Provide a prompt and professional service.
- Cloakroom Assistant/Porter/Hospitality Assistant.
- The ability to work using own initiative as well as part of a team.
- The ability to work flexibly and adapt to a changing environment.
- A professional attitude towards work whilst being polite, friendly, and approachable.
- A customer focused approach and excellent communication skills.
- Excellent time management skills alongside the ability to work under pressure.
- Confidence when dealing with guests and great enthusiasm and drive.

This position will include shifts working Saturday and/ or Sunday. Additional hours may be required to support the hotel during our busier periods including bank holidays.
