TeacherActive are looking for **SEN TA / SEN Teaching Assistant** in **Doncaster** to have the opportunity to work in **a specialist school that caters for young people who have Autism, Learning Difficulties and Complex Needs**. This school offers residential care and education to 8-19-year-olds withspecial educational needs and offers their students a sports hall and fitness suite, a hydrotherapy pool, a sensory room and horticultural. **We can offer both full-time and part-time days.**

As a teaching assistant your responsibilities will include **assisting the teacher with lessons**, working **1:1** with **SEN students** who have **complex needs** and creating a **calm and purposeful learning environment**. We build great relationships with our schools and support staff so we can find the best placements for you. We are looking for **SEN TA / SEN Teaching Assistant** to **cover day to day, short-term and long-term placements** supporting children with their education. The ideal **SEN TA / SEN Teaching Assistant** should have the following:

- **Level 2/ 3 in a relevant qualification**and/or**experience in a care or school environment**:

- Good **communication** skills
- A good understanding of **child protection** and **safeguarding guidelines**:

- Experience in working with **supporting students** in their education on a **1:1 and a small group basis**
