You don't need previous experience in care as a support worker to start your career with us, we recruit on values and transferrable skills. We'll pay you for your training and give you all the practical skills that you'll need. **We'll even fund your SVQ (SCQF level 6/7) qualification and your yearly SSSC registration fee**
**The Role**
Our team provides tailored support to children, young people and adults so every day really is different, no two days are ever the same.
As a **Support Practitione**r, you'll help the individuals we support with all aspects of daily living, including going to appointments, personal care, shopping, cooking, housework and medication. You'll also find yourselves getting involved in many of their hobbies and interests too, which include going for walks, out to the cinema and to the pub, doing arts & crafts, listening to music, swimming, attending the gym and other outdoor activities and volunteering.
For this role it is essential that you hold a full UK driving licence as many of the people we support have their own Mobility cars. If using your own vehicle, we offer a mileage rate of 45 pence per mile and you are paid your hourly rate for travel time up to two hours between shifts.
To be a great **Support** **Practitioner**, you will be:

**Shift Pattern**
Your normal hours of work will be between 0830 - 2100 hours, Monday to Sunday, and will be a mix of split shifts, shorter shifts and longer block shifts of support. Weekends, sleepovers and public holidays will also form part of your rota on a rotational basis.

If you’re successful in joining our team, you will be expected to join the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and must be willing to work towards a SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare as required for SSSC registration. We will need you to register with the SSSC within 3 months of starting your employment with us.
