**Hours**: Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:30 (37.5 hours per week)

**Role overview**

This role provides the opportunity to join the fastest growing part of Hill Dickinson - the Health Business Group and support the Head of Health Andrew Craggs and his team. With a national coverage we are one of the leading firms providing legal advice and supporting the NHS and independent healthcare organisations.

The role will involve undertaking a wide range of general healthcare and mental health advisory work for the NHS and other public and private organisations operating in the health and social care sector.

**Key responsibilities**:
The role will involve undertaking a wide range of advisory and mental health work for the NHS and other public and private organisations operating in the health and social care sector. including but not limited to:

- Preparation for and representation at Inquests;
- Court of Protection, treatment and best interest cases;
- Advising on matters of general healthcare law including patient complaints, sudden untoward incidents, Ombudsman investigations and funding issues;
- Advising on mental health law, including legality of detention, treatment issues and representation at Tribunals;
- Advising on public law issues such as public and patient involvement and consultation, judicial review and human rights;
- Providing training to clients, particularly in the fields of mental capacity and mental health law.
