**Your Team**:You’ll be joining our award-winning content team working alongside some of the most talented journalists in the country across all platforms.

**The role**:We are looking for a talented video journalist to join our award-winning team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced VJ or broadcaster to make their mark at Scotland’s biggest newsbrand.

**Day to day you will**:

- Identify opportunities around the daily news agenda to create original video to support our existing output.
- Self-shoot video on location, including news reports, interviews and short features.
- Script, present, edit and produce videos to provide a daily stream of content for our website and social platforms.
- Write and publish articles to accompany videos in print and online.
- Produce fast reactive video using our in-house video editing tools when required.
- Pitch ideas for standalone longer form projects.
- Act as a video advocate to raise the overall quality of video produced within The Scottish Sun.

**What we’re looking for from you**:

- A self-starter with broadcast experience who is brimming with ideas.
- Someone comfortable in front of the camera, knowing how to get the most from an interview.
- Video production experience, with a focus on news output.
- Sound news judgement with the knowledge of what makes a great video.
- Excellent news and current affairs knowledge.
- Video editing skills for digital output, including experience of Adobe Premier.
- Ability to identify videos that have high traffic potential.
