**Monday-Friday between 6am-6pm (37.5 working week)**

**£35,000 Per Annum**

Here at MJ Quinn, we currently have an exciting opportunity for a experienced **Driver Trainer **to join our business to assist with the implementation of the MJ Quinn Road Risk Strategy.

This position will be covering the South of the UK

**About the Role**

The **Driver Trainer** will report to the Transport Manager and provide comprehensive training to new and existing drivers on company policies, vehicle operation, safety procedures, and regulatory compliance.

The person will be responsible for ensuring that all drivers are well-informed about safety regulations and promote a safety-first culture within the team.

The **Driver Trainer** will also instruct drivers in effective and fuel-efficient driving techniques to reduce environmental impact and improve cost-effectiveness, maintain accurate records of driver training, certifications, and performance evaluations.

It will also be their responsibility to stay updated on changes in regulations, industry best practices, and technological advancements, incorporating these changes into training programs.

**Skills we are looking for**:

- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Driver trainer qualifications and a minimum 3 years relevant experience in Driver training and coaching
- Thorough knowledge of Road Traffic legislation
- Sound knowledge of Road accident/insurance processes
- Sound mechanical knowledge
- Fully flexible in terms of the hours worked and the duties carried out
- Ability to work alone and plan their own working week in a productive and cost effective manner.
- Flexible in terms of travelling and occasional overnight stays
- Prepared to participate in ongoing training
- Strong IT skills, Word, Excel, Outlook
- Full and valid driving licence
- Highly organised

**Desirable but not essential skills include**:

- Experience in carrying out vehicle damage checks.
- Experience working a large Fleet would be advantageous.
- Management experience
- HGV driving licence
- Experience of producing reports and working to KPI targets
- Experience of ‘towing’ training
