We currently have the opportunity for a full time Training and Development Coordinator to join our Kinship and Fostering Service.

**About the role**

This is a varied and interesting role, which involves the coordination and delivery of training to kinship and mainstream foster carers and special guardians within Wiltshire, as well as commissioning training from other providers.

You will be supported to do this by the team administrator and the wider kinship and fostering team members and managers. There are no supervisory responsibilities associated with the role, however, you will be responsible for providing guidance and support to trainers and administrators.

This role requires delivering or supporting training across the whole county on occasion, as well as delivering training online. There is some evening work required to ensure we are meeting the needs of foster carers who cannot attend training during the day.

The kinship and fostering team are an experienced group of practitioners who provide a well-established service. Social workers and support workers occasionally contribute to training, so you will receive good support from your colleagues as well as from other agencies, who also support our training programme.

We are committed to the development of knowledge and skills in Dyadic Developmental Practice/Parenting for our foster carers and our staff, so you will be supported to develop your own knowledge and skills in DDP as part of your role.

**About you**

You may be a registered social work practitioner, with significant experience in Children’s Social Care. But you will be able to evidence understanding the needs of children who are looked after, as well as the needs of foster carers, including family and friends’ carers. You will understand barriers to learning and be committed to promoting inclusion in all aspects of our training provision.

You will have excellent communication and listening skills and feel confident to deliver and support training, both online and face-to-face.

We will look to you to be confident user of MS Office, including the use of Teams, Outlook, and Exce**l.**

You will be resilient and organised with the ability to work autonomously, flexibly and under pressure.
