Tooling Engineer

An excellent opportunity for**x2 Tooling Engineers** AND/OR**x1 Junior Application/Database** is in demand for my large Glasgow (Erskine) based client.

**Initial 6 month contract**

**Hybrid/On Site (Erskine, Glasgow)**

**1x On site - Tool Engineer**

**1x Hybrid - Tool Engineer**

**SC Cleared required (or willing to go through)**

**Inside IR35**



**x2 Tooling Engineer -**Experienced Engineer with Linux & My SQL is required, any experience with Networking would be beneficial also.

Don’t need both engineers to cover everything, but need as much covered as possible between the two of them. The biggest gaps the client have are on MS SQL and associated analysis and ETL tooling and Vertica (the data lake stuff).

**Skills include**:

- Linux Application Support
- Linux admin and troubleshooting
- Network monitoring and management (not necessarily traditional network engineers, those skills are desirable, but not essential)
- API,LDAP,TLS
- Database administration and querying, e.g. MySQL, Postgres, Vertica
- Bash, perl, python, PHP
- Ansible
- Microfocus ITOM software

**Client need more support on within the team**:

- MSSQL - Strong experience writing and reading MSSQL, especially Stored Procedures.
- SSIS - Sql Server Integration Services - Experience necessary, basic
- SSAS - Sql Server Analysis Services - Experience necessary, basic
- DAX - Experience Desired, basic
- Power BI - Experience Desired, basic
- Angular JS - basic, should be able to read code to assist development team in diagnosing issues
- C# - basic, should be able to read code to assist development team in diagnosing issues
