Accounts Payable Team Lead Band 4 - 37.5hrs - Parkhouse

The role of the finance department is to safeguard the financial assets of the Trusts, discharge liabilities as they fall due, report to and advise management on financial issues, support the Trust in achieving its business objectives and promote good financial practice and performance.

The Accounts Payable Supervisor is responsible for the setting and reviewing of work on a day to day basis.
The post holder is responsible for managing their own workload in conjunction with the Accounts Payable Supervisor, and may refer to the Accounts Payable Supervisor or Head of Financial Services for guidance relating to issues outside their own area of expertise.

The Post holder will be required to directly support the Financial Services section of the Finance Department, and provide general support to the whole Finance Department and non-finance staff throughout the Trust.

The post holder will carry out duties within Financial Services on behalf of the Trust, including:
- Assess and allocate the work of the Accounts Payable team on a day to day basis, ensuring all tasks are completed within internal and external timescales.
- Processing payments on behalf of the Trust in respect of supplies, expenses, and petty cash reimbursements. All payments will be made in accordance with financial procedures and in a timely and accurate manner.
- Investigating and resolving financial queries and discrepancies from customer, staff, and service users providing assistance and advice as required.
- Maintaining the Trust’s Prompt Payment Code targets.
