**OUR STORY**

**THE OPPORTUNITY**:
The Data Modeler will be reporting to the Manager, Data and working within an Agile scrum team. The Data Modeler will be closely collaborating with internal customers to define and implement structured data systems, ETL flows, and Business Intelligence (BI) content for end-customers within the TechInsights platform.

The Data Modeler will be cooperating with the Technical Product Managers (TPM) role to interview analysts and gather their requirements. They will be closely working with a Data Analyst and Software Engineer to ensure that the developed data solutions align with the TPM's requirements and are engineered effectively.

The Data Modeler will embody comprehensive knowledge of the platform's data systems, ETL flows, and data visualizations. The Data Modeler will deliver value to end customers by facilitating business analysts in bringing their data products to market. The Data Modeler will provide stewardship of the platform's data concerns, identifying and documenting technical debt, and advocating for its resolution when appropriate. Feasibility studies or Proof-of-Concept (PoC) assessments may be conducted by the Data Modeler, and the results will be shared with all stakeholders.

**WHAT YOU WILL DO**
- Create data solutions to meet platform requirements.
- Provide DevOps support for Data Models
- Co-work with Engineering and development teams to realize data systems.
- Write and maintain Visual Basic code in excel workbook.
- Data Modeling
- Designing and implementing data models embodied in structured files and data stores
- ETL
- Extract, Transform and Load of any data relevant to the Platform
- Monitoring and bugfixes in PROD
- BI
- Data visualizations and inter or intra-navigation

**WHAT YOU HAVE**
- Post-secondary education in Business, Computer or Data Science or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
- Strong critical thinking skills including the ability to recognize underlying issues and implications of decisions or courses of action
- Well-organized with strong attention to detail
- Ability to set and manage commitments
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working with end customers
- Background in building data systems, ideally in a SaaS environment
- Knowledge of data and software architecture
- Experience participating in complex software projects
- Experience in an Agile environment
