**Business Intelligence Developer**

Our client is a specialist mortgage lender company, who offer a wide range of Buy to Let mortgages and are particularly experienced in the portfolio landlord market. They are currently recruiting for an experienced Business Intelligence Developer to jointheir busy team. You will be working to enhance the company's data warehouses, to ensure accurate and robust data is made available for reporting.

**The role**:

- Working within a team of 6 to design, develop and maintain Data Warehouse & Reporting solutions to satisfy Business Intelligence-related requirements
- Consuming new data sources, modelling of business data, conforming to the existing design and standards.
- Developing changes to the Data Warehouse, reporting and ETL packages
- Participate in design discussions challenging the technical direction of projects and solutions to ensure they are scalable and flexible and adhere to our existing design and standards
- Ensuring quality of data by performing and participating in peer reviews, unit & functional testing
- Working with third parties when necessary to ensure optimal outcomes for the business
- Owning, and resolving Business Intelligence-related bugs and issues
- Performing data analysis and data validation to ensure accurate reporting results.
- Proposing innovative solutions to improve the delivery performance, operational and technical capability
- Maintaining and enhancing technical skills as appropriate to reflect current market developments

**Desirable skills/qualifications**:

- Experience working within the Financial Services industry, specifically Mortgages or loans
- Azure Dev Ops
- C#
- Python
- Experience of DBA activities (primarily Performance tuning)

**Essential skills/qualifications**:

- 4+ years of IT experience, in BI and/or Data Warehouse development incorporating: SQL Server, T-SQL, Power BI, SSRS, SSIS.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment
- Deep hands-on understanding of SQL Server and data warehouse methodologies/practices.
- Demonstrable experience of working with the Kimble methodology
- Understanding of the software life-cycle methodology including QA standards
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to plan, own activities, and work as part of a team and contribute to overall planning activities
- Ability to interpret business requirements accurately
- Experience of working in an Agile environment
