- SS2301Unitots Nursery is located on the University of Worcester St John’s campus. It is self-contained and has a large outdoor area. The Nursery takes advantage of being on the University campus to provide further learning opportunities for the children, such as walks around the campus, using the University gym and visiting the campus shop. The Nursery is registered with Ofsted to provide care and education for 40 children on any one day, aged from 3 months to 5 years, and is open to the children of University staff, University students and community users. Unitots was rated as ‘Good’ by Ofsted in January 2023.

The Nursery is open Monday to Friday 8 am-6 pm, 50 weeks of the year, excluding Bank Holidays, University holidays, staff training days and one week’s closure in the last full week of August, for which staff are required to book annual leave.

The post holder will be responsible to the Nursey Manager ensuring that a high standard or care and education is provided for the children in accordance with the Nursery’s policies, procedures and statutory requirements. The post holder will have specific responsibility for the Tweenie room, will lead a well organised room and work with qualified nursery practitioners to ensure an enabling environment and the deliverance of a broad and balanced curriculum to support and extend children’s learning. There is a need for a flexible approach to the role and the ability to step up as and when required, it may also involve occasional cover in other rooms.

Part time hours will be considered.
