Locum Consultant in Obstetrics

**Detailed job description and main responsibilities**:

- The job plan includes regular labour ward sessions, which are in line with the cover provided by other members of senior staff. Oncall activities will be undertaken at the Hampstead site on a 1 in 13 obs & gynae cover and 1 in 13 gynae cover. The current service on this site provides 72 hours of consultant presence on the labour ward.

**Education & Professional Qualifications**:
**Essential criteria**:

- MBBS
- MRCOG
- CCT/CCST or equivalent
- Entry onto the Specialist Register of the GMC (or eligibility for entry within 6mths of AAC)
- Hold Full Registration with GMC

**Desirable criteria**:

- Research publications in peer reviewed journals or book chapter publications or an MD
- International presentations

**Experience**:
**Essential criteria**:

- Demonstrable knowledge of the challenges facing the service
- Experience in benign open and laparascopic surgery

**Desirable criteria**:

- Demonstrable clinical training and experience in intrapartum care.
- Experienced in running 2 week wait rapid access gynae clinics
